Camera bag for Yashica T4 Super. . .Which one? Which Zing fits?

Amanda Zinger , Jul 18, 1999; 09:57 p.m.

For all those Yashica T4 Super (or T5) lovers out there. . .

I just purchased a Yashica T4 Super. . .Which camera bag do you recommend? Which Zing bag fits?

Thanks!

The Tamrac "micro camera" case works great! It is made of cordura nylon, has a belt loop, and a velcro flap for quick camera access. I figure it costs around $5-10 but since I received it as a gift I may be wrong. Fits the T4 like a glove.

my friend uses a small cellular phone case...clips to his belt! p.s. for the budget minded

I have one from Lowe Pro, forgot the model, but it is a VERY prefect fit for my T4 WS, I think they(Lowe Pro) makes this one for APS cameras.

Me again, the Model name is AF MINI, they come in several colors, I have a grey one. Hope this helps.

I have used the smallest Zing bag for both of my T4s (I lost my first T4 one night while snowcamping!). It fits like a glove and I have used it backpacking all over. Theoretically, they are supposed to be waterproof, but I have found them to absorb water anyway. However, I still think that the best feature is still that the bag is like a cushion and allows the camera to take quite a beating without damage, and I just put it into a zip-lock bag if its raining. I also use the same size Zing for my 24mm or 50mm lenses for my Nikon for the same reason that it is a nice protective cushion for whichever lense I don't have on the camera. And speaking of water, I took my new Weatherproof T4 rafting and exposed it to tons of water (without the Zing bag or any other protection) and no water got inside it.

The Tamrac (World Correspondent Series) 808? is a small leather pouch that will fit the T4. It has a belt loop but no other straps.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. . .especially Scott regarding the Zing bag.

I will go to the camera store this weekend to check out the Zings and the Tamrac.

If there are any other comments before this Saturday afternoon, I'll would be very glad hear them too.

Thanks all : )
