Lost in Thought by Laura Marco | 2015-02-27
Fine Art

The scene corresponds to that time of day, called "siesta", where everyone has a rest before continuing with daily tasks. She does not sleep, as others do, she's somehow captivated, sat staring into space, at the floor, at the door, still ... not really looking, just lost in thought and that's how she spends her naptime until she sew again. It's a piece of life. Comments are welcome! Thank you!

Koala closeup by Sebastian Klamt | 2015-02-27
Pets

Found in a German zoo. Koalas are very rare here, with being monophagous, it's necessary to get them eucalyptus-leaves every day. Most of the zoos can't afford, having it shipped from Australia continously, but here in Duisburg a German airline is supporting the zoo. I used the 70-200 lens without extender to have maximum IQ through the glass. Thanks for looking!

Jam Fernando Sebastian going to heaven by Mark Brosnihan M.D. | 2015-02-27
Digital Alterations

I have been touched by the illness of this young Filipino man, who has been suffering from Lung cancer. The Facebook site shows so many family and friends with their bedside support and prayer. We in the Western civilization are becoming more and more non religious, I am a doctor , I see people dying everyday. I suppose I have built up thick skin to seeing the suffering people are going through. But I am humbled by the apparent devotion and respect that has been given to this unfortunate young man who is dying at such a young age. The Filipinos on average are very religious, I see the comfort they have from their belief in an after life. i have always liked the Middle Age European Art, much of it is Religious, now in modern western society,Religious themes are not seen much in Art.

The Infrared Zone by tony brandstetter | 2015-02-27
Landscape

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Infrared Zone.
