I took this in a teensey little town on a back road heading to the Oregon coast. I did quite a bit of touching up to get rid of everything that would make this scene too modern (telephone wires etc...) and this is the first version.

are the touch ups noticable?

does this suffer from lack of a closer foreground?

Lake O'Hara British Columbia - conditions great but had the wrong camera / lens / film combination with me. EOS 1V, sigma 14mm F3.5 (poor quality) no tripod and provia 400 film. Stil,l lake O'Hara is one of the worlds top beauty spots so the scenery can cover a lot of technical issues. I should of had my Fuji GX680 but as i was planning on climbing 3000fett to the Abbot Hut I went light weight

Thank you for visiting. My foray into B&W is relatively recent. I am reviewing some of my older images to see if they will make good B&Ws. This image was shot in 2008 a couple of days after Christmas at the Taos Pueblo. Christmas Eve is a big deal at the Pueblo when the native Americans (that still live here without electricity or running water) light up huge bonfires to celebrate the 'Procession of the Virgin'.

My first macro shot on my new K20d with my old Sigma 75-300 APO lens in macro mode. The flowers are really tiny, the whole bouquet is 3-4 cm wide. Zooming in, you can see little dust-threads sitting on it!

This is about a 3-4 second exposure taken right as the sun had went below the horizon. I was pleased with the colors of the shot, and really only bumped them up a little bit to get this result. I've taken quite a few water shots like this, where the shutter speed is just long enough to blur the waves, but not enough for it to be totally smooth, and I really enjoy the texture that it gives the water and the sense of motion without being too harsh or chaotic. Any input would be much appreciated!
