Established in the early nineties by Philip Greenspun, the photo.net Q&A ("General Archived") forum was a dynamically maintained FAQ
intended to help people with a photographic objective
reach their goals. After the introduction of many other topic-specific forums on photo.net, it was closed to general posting in March 2004. It's archives, which contain a wealth of information, are still open, and it is still possible to add comments to previous threads.
