condensors & 35mm neg carrier for Simmon Omega D2

Irvine Short , Dec 02, 2009; 04:40 a.m.

Hi All,

For the Simmon-Omega D2 I have neg carriers from 127 through 6x6 6x7 6x9 to 4" x 5

I have no 35mm carrier. Would I be OK using the 127 carrier?

Also, I have a variety of condensors for this enlarger. They all have some small chips around the circumference. say, 3mm away from the edge and 5mm in length.

Are they likely to be a problem?

Cheerio,

You could probably mask off a substantial area of the condenser and not notice. Some enlargers, Durst in particular, came with rectangular or square condensers.

Fill the chipped areas with black ink from a Sharpie permanent marker, India ink, etc. That trick helps with damaged camera lenses too.

You can also use the negative carrier for the Beseler 23c in the D2,but not the other way around.
