Need LCD shield for Canon 7D

Suzanne S , Nov 20, 2009; 11:27 a.m.

I tried the 3 inch Invisible Shield from Zagg, however the shield is 1/8 inch short all around. I really wanted one of these because I've been happy with the one on my phone, but it doesn't appear that Zagg is producing them yet for the 7D. Is anyone using something comparable on their 7D, or have suggestions?
Thank you!
Suzanne

Buy a generic PDA screen protector and cut to fit.

Suzanne, have a look at Delkin Devices pop-up shades. I have one on my 5D II and love it:

Zagging is making a 7D invisible shield which was delivered to me about 2 weeks ago. It fits like a charm and is up to their usual excellent standards.

I think I saw a protective shield made out of tempered glass on ebay, please search.

The LCD screen of the 7D is already made with hardened glass. So it's not suppose to scratch, unless you scrape it with sand...

Try this, but I didn't see anything fot the 7D ?

I've been struggling with the idea of getting a screen protector. I know that the 7D screen is supposed to be hardened but even so, it just feels like a lot of screen acreage just asking to be scratched. I had a protector on my 30D which I really liked at first, but then grew very tired of. Does anyone know how much more durable the 7D LCD is supposed to be?

Supposedly, it's fairly scratch resistant. It's not a chance I felt like taking. I've seen the posts about how the screen covering can be replaced by hand, but I had an Invisible Shield on my 40D and love it... I have them on all of my electronics and would rather keep things looking pristine. If I got one little scratch in the wrong place, it would drive me crazy... But, of course, that's my own quirkiness.
