great photo!!! I am thinking about getting a 300mm lens, do you happen to know if there were major differences between the images produced by the 300 F4L and the regular non-L 300 F4 lens? Thanks a lot.

thanks Masu, No I cannot tell you if there are any major differences, however I understand that the non-L 300mm 4 is a very good lens and produces excellent images. Mine is the earlier model(breech lock) and I got it a couple years ago from KEH for about $350 in ex condition. If you can afford it get the L version.
