15mm F2.8 Fisheye

Philip Wilson , Nov 20, 2009; 12:17 p.m.

Just though I would post a couple of images taken with the Canon 15mm F2.8 Fisheye on a T90 body. Film was Kodak 160 NC print. The shots are of Quarry lake (the lake used for the skaing scenes in the movie Mystery Alaska and is actually In Canmore Alberta Canada. Canmore often plays Alaska as it was also used for Snow Dogs.

Always good fun...do I conceal or flaunt the distortion? A full-frame fisheye permits more creative leeway than its circular cousins...

Yes I am sure there is a way to get an ND grad effect in post processing but I am inept with photoshop

Philip, I really like the second one. One has to look very closely to see any fisheye distortion, and even then it could be attributed to the shape of the shoreline. Well disguised!

The first is nicest. I love the fisheye effect. Good shoots!
