DIY, Ghetto Matrix Bullet Time

Here's a ghetto rig using 24 Olympus SP-510 UZ cameras to create the Matrix effect for about $8,000. Not quite Hollywood quality but more than satisfactory for music videos.

Pretty cool actually, i'd be interested to try this (if I had 24 digital cameras to mess around with)

David, I once came across web site of a rig using some numbers of disposal film cameras. Of course the challenge is how to trigger them at the same instant.

Even more outrageous is a description of firing a long chain of cameras sequentially to capture ultra high speed events (such as a bullet's travel) where as a single motion capture camera will be required to pan at an impossible rate. There sure are many creative people out there.
