Hal the Vagabond 35mm - Austin, Texas Pics

HAL WANTS TO TRAVEL THE WORLD - Diary:

The Vagabond Halina detoured to Austin, Texas just in time for a blast of summer heat.
Here is Hal as pictured by CE Nelson in the hands of a young hillbill enthusiast.

It has been an honor and a priveledge to run a roll of film through this celebrity camera.
Future users may want to use gaffer's tape to seal up the back door from light leaks.

Pool admission is about five bucks for adults.

Unfortunately Hal didn't have five bucks.
Luckily, downstream Admission is free.

And little further downstream canoe rentals.

Andrew,

You exagerate: the weather's pretty nice compared to what it will be like in August and September, when it gets humid.

The pictures look like they could have been taken 40 years ago, though.

Hey! Hal visited Austin & didn't stop by my place for BBQ? What's up?

The (no longer operational) City of Austin Power Plant is worth a few more shots!

Nice photos of Barton Springs; just as John says, they do look timeless, as befits a local institution.
