Saw this camera in a poster at Macys. Is it a real camera?

Yes, Bolsey B2 35mm cast aluminum camera with one piece slide off back, ala Nikon F and Contax rangefinder. Lens and shutter American wollensak everset few f stops, few shutterspeeds. Well made albeit triplet lens. To avoid shutter shake I used one with an L bracket and cable release. Jacques Bolsey was involved with this camera and also early Alpa high end now rare Swiss cameras.

I love the way inquiries about random unfamiliar old cameras can bring such quick responses around here. Nice going, Paul -- less than 10 minutes!

I am constantly amazed at the knowledge here as well. I am beginning to believe that there isn't anything that someone here doesn't know something about . Does that make sense?

Other than the double negative, yeah, it makes sense. The other point that constantly impresses me is how incredibly well spoken members are here. I can grab any post and use it as is in a magazine article. They appear to have been professionally edited three times before posting.

That let's me out.
Doesn't two negatives make a positive? :)

The leather case is in nice shape. Is that new or original?
Brian M. , Jan 30, 2012; 12:04 a.m.
It does, Patrick. Its just that double negatives makes me do a double take.

I think that was actually a correct use of double negative. Making it not negative would have been positively awkward.
