took a trip up the the smokeys yesturday to an old community called cades cove, neat old place with lots of wild life and old cabins and churches, took my 4x5, here a a few images i did there.

had to cut my developing time back a bit on that one to try to retain some detail. here is another that i had to do the same thing, this one was shot with a 210mm fujinon, exposure was 27 sec@f32

Lovely tones John, you just can't beat LF for this. The Cabin is a perfect spot to photograph obviously, but my favourite here is the shot of the root and moving water, the sheen on the root with the water's milkiness make for a really pleasing photo.

Great shots John. Love the cabin and the church for the texture in the wood and composition. Blow ups on my screen really pull out the details. Good time of year to visit there .. not too many tourists/traffic ... I have not been to this park but my daughter was there a few days ago and can't stop talking about the beauty therein .. thanks for sharing.
