Shun Cheung has been a serious amateur nature photographer since 1972. He grew up in Hong Kong and attended universities in California. After working for AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey (just outside of New York City) for 14 years, he and his wife returned to California in year 2000. They now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. Shun is interested in wildlife, landscape as well as macro photography. Besides nature, he is also interested in wedding and event photography and video as well as sports photography. With his wife, he’s traveled extensively to all seven continents in the world, including both the Arctic and Antarctic. So far he has gone on photo trips to Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa, Madagascar, Antarctica, The Galapagos Islands and Brazil in South America, eastern and central Australia, Svalbard/Spitzbergen in Arctic Norway as well as many trips inside the United States.

Garry Edwards is an advertising and commercial photographer who has a special interest in lighting because, as he points out, photography is about light and good lighting can only be obtained in camera, never on the computer. Garry is a published author and has also produced the Photolearn series of videos and written tutorials on lighting. Michael Ezra is a New York-based photographer specializing in fine art sculptural nudes as well as fine art landscape photography. Born in 1972 in Tbilisi, the capital of the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, he studied painting from his early years. In 1993, Michael Ezra moved to United States and began his physics studies in the field of medical imaging. For the next seven years, through his move to New York City and career change to software architecture and development, complex surrealistic painting remained his main channel of artistic self-expression. In 2000, inspired by Michelangelo sculptures, Michael Ezra turned to photography and began developing his concept of black-and-white studio sculptural nudes. In his easily recognizable style, he created a wide body of original sculptural works, which is sometimes referred to as a “reference catalogue of poses.” Michael Ezra’s professional background in imaging and in software development enabled him to make an easy transition to the world of digital photography and provided a solid foundation for comprehensive understanding of existing technologies.

Editorially his work has appeared in virtually every major general interest publication in the world. photographer and graphic designer. Elegance, simplicity, a strong sense
of composition and emotions are key elements in his work. His images are
often constructed as photo-series—something between fashion
photography and movie storyboards. The sequence of shots usually tells
a little story but each image also works independently. Since he often
tries to convey atmosphere in his photos, he mainly shoots
on-location, almost exclusively in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he lives.

Jon Sienkiewicz earned an undergraduate degree in English and then spent thirty years with Minolta Corporation, ending his career there as vice president of marketing. He was part of the team that launched the Maxxum 7000, the Dimage V and DiMAGE 7—the world’s first 5-megapixel digital camera. Along the way he directed the operations of camera repair, technical support, digital product development and digital product strategy. He grew up in this industry from Minolta SR-T 101 cameras, Tri-X film and D-76 developer right straight up and through today’s most modern cameras. As an “industry insider” he writes a monthly column for the trade paper Photo Industry Reporter, is on the masthead of three leading printed photo magazines, is contributing editor to major publications, writes a weekly blog and basically just plain loves taking pictures and writing about it.

Jeff Spirer is a San Francisco-based photographer who captures sports (primarily boxing and mixed martial arts), performance art, music, and portraits. Marc Williams attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, where he later taught as a visiting instructor. As an Art Director, working on national advertising accounts, Marc had contact with some of the best photographers in the world. On his intercontinental business travels, Marc carried his Leica M to photograph candid B&W street work. Other art directors took note of this work, citing the insightful capture of human moments, and began asking Marc to photograph their weddings in the same style and manner. It snowballed from there. Marc now specializes in what he calls “Romantic Photojournalism.”
