Coolpix S-4 lens cover

Peter Szwed , Jun 20, 2006; 03:44 p.m.

I bought a Coolpix S-4 about four months ago and within two weeks the lens cover was broken. I had difficulty locating a new one so I improvised one out of a Kodak film canister lid. I still mostly use film so these are freebees. Just remove the circular rib inside the lid and pop it on your lens. It will be a little hard to remove the cap he first few dozen times, and the groove around the lens will shave a little plastic off the inside of the cap. It's more secure then the original and you can't beat the price. I always keep a spare in the camera pouch. Hope this will help someone, Pete.

That's a good tip.
