So I figured I would start a Photo of the Week thread in the Mirrorless forum. If it's popular, we'll pick a day/time for it to start every week just like the other forums. Please only post one image per person and please keep the images fairly "work safe". A few words about the image are always welcome and a few words about someone else's image are fine as well. Though this should be looked at as more of a "sharing" type of thing than a "critique" type of thing.
This shot was from CES last week. I hit the men's room before my meeting with Pentax and found a few of the ubiquitous escort cards on top of each of the urinals. So I figured I'd toss one of my cards on there as well. Camera was the Ricoh GXR with the A12 18.3mm f/2.5 lens (28mm-equivalent). No, I didn't leave my card there.

So I recently sold my G12 in anticipation of Canon's new G-model. After doing so I realized how much I enjoy having a PowerShot to use along with my 7D, so after doing quite a bit of research, I settled on an SX230HS because of its low-light performance (really quite impressive for a compact!) and versatile zoom range (28-392mm). Of course as soon as the G1X arrives, I'm getting one, but I'll hang on to this camera too. I really like it. I'm still getting used to it so excuse the less-than-stellar shots for awhile.
Here's a shot of our snowy woods at sunset. 24 hours later (last night) it was 57 degrees and we had heavy thunderstorms here in North-Central Indiana. Thunderstorms! Of course tonight it's 27 degrees and will be cold for the next couple of days before shooting back up to 50! They always say that if you don't like the weather in Indiana, wait 5 minutes and it'll change.
