Bought new iMac and installed LR2 upgrade, attached external HD with photo files and can't see Develop settings in the History pane for
photo files I know I've edited. Files were edited in LR1.4.1 on my eMac (old computer). I never installed LR1.4.1 on the new iMac, just
used the serial number to upgrade to LR2. I can still see the History on the eMac when I pull the photos into LR1.4.1, but don't see History
in LR2 on the iMac.
Do I need to install LR1.4.1 on the new computer, pull the photos in, then upgrade to LR2 so it will see the History for edited photos? Or
perhaps there is an easier solution; you know, like one-click solutions?!?
System info: (new) iMac, OS X 10.5, LR2; (old) eMac, OS X 10.4.11, LR1.4.1
Photo files: mix of .jpg, .tiff. .orf (olympus raw files)
Thanks.

You probably did not save the Develop settings in the files themselves, but in the LR 1.4.1 catalog. So...you need to move
the catalog over to your new machine, and then import it into LR 2. This is really easy - once the catalog has been moved
over, just open it with LR 2. The catalog will be migrated automatically with no intervention from you.
After that's done, you may need to point the catalog to the new location of your files on the external disk. Then again,
maybe not, if it's the same external disk.

Mr. Thomas -
That worked like a charm! Thanks for the quick, accurate response.
