I use a Epson R800 for small jobs for customers and for personal printing. The problem is I don't want to use ink for
my business for my personal use. I like to keep the money separate. I've thought about 2 sets of cartidges but I'm
worried about one set drying out. So I have a couple of questions.
1. How long can a catridge sit out of the printer before it won't work?
2. Does anyone know a quick and easy way to figure approx how many photos per catridge to expect? (to figure an
accurate price/print)
3. What is a good source bulk bottles of ink?
I know Outdoor Photogrpher magazine did an article a couple of years ago on this subject but I've been unable to find
it.
Thanks

The re-charge process every time you swap the ink would make this a very bad idea. Maybe you should look for some print accounting software instead.

Or get a second printer. After all it's the ink that's costly.

The R800 will tend to start streaking if not used every few days. Do all your printing on one printer; use it and keep it printing well.
Keep Track: Just count the prints made for personal and professional then do the math using the cost for the ink. You end up with a printer that is used (at least) every few days and a very close estimate of cost for personal and pro.
Keep it simple.
