I purchased this monitor two months ago on the basis of recommendations on this forum (of course an updated Dell monitor immediately appeared!). I have had difficulty profiling it. I tried the Eye One package, and it did not to the job very well. Took it back and tried the Sypder Elite 3. Better: but I am still getting prints (using Epson Exhibition Fiber and Ilford Galerie Gold) that are considerably warmer than what I see on screen. Could I be misusing the software? Or would custom paper profiles help (I am using the free profiles from the manufacturers). I would also love to know of anyone who is using this monitor + software combo and has achieved a good profile -- and how you did it!

I've got the 2408 monitor.
I have to ask.
Are you softproofing the images first?
I use the EyeOne calibration and get pretty good results. My onscreen image and prints are very close. I use Premium Luster paper.
My method is:
1. First reset to factory default. (Bright, I know!)
2. Then I run the simple calibration mode,
3. Then I use the advanced.
You might also want to try a custom profile for these papers.
One other thing you might want to try, and this only applies if you're using a macbook pro laptop, use a powered usb hub. Apparently the usb slots sometimes don't have enough power and as a result, miscalculate the calibration.
