Imacon Flextight: Settings for IT8-Target?

Hi Group!
What is the best Way to scan an IT8-Target with the Flexcolor-Software in order to create a ICC-Profile? I've tried several settings, including the "Auto"-Method described in the Imacon-Yahoogroup. But the resulting Custom Profile results in a very (too) contrasty Picture. Any Ideas? Oh - I scan with the Imacon Precision II and Flexcolor 4.0.3. I profile the Scans with the SIPC-Software.

Oh, its been years since I did this. But I think if memory serves me, you want to play around with the gamma settings. I don’t know why I recall a 3.0 being the sweet spot.
