Aluminium Mounting - Matte, Gloss or Pearl paper?

Gareth Jolly , Sep 05, 2010; 04:51 a.m.

I'm looking at mounting a large inkjet print on aluminium - presumably with some laminate. Does anyone know if I should be printing on matte, gloss or pearl...?
Thanks in advance
Gareth

I think that's driven by personal preference, subject matter, etc. Another option to consider is having your image printed directly on aluminum. Several companies offer that service.

Matte, gloss or pearl could all work. The 'laminate' you are looking for is something called Dibond. Any reputable framing shop will use this.
