Editors' Picks: Fall Colors Photos

photo.net members' bestNovember 2007

Fall: leaves changing color, flame-colored vistas, bright spots of color on the horizon, crisp air tinged with the musky smell of fallen leaves, a steaming cup of apple cider after a brisk walk, harvest time in the garden, pumpkin carving...change is inevitable.

The Photo.net editors selected a handful of images that remind us of the fall season. These photographs vividly capture the beautiful colors of fall. There is a collection of autumn foliage and pictures of fall leaves from many different locations. In addition, there are images of pumpkins and maize that remind us of the harvest, breathtaking landscapes, and families enjoying the outdoors. These photographs incorporate the colors of fall and evoke the spirit of the season. Please add your favorite fall photos in the comments section below.

The photos in this article have been selected by a team of photo.net editors. All photos are copyright the photographer, and may not be used without written permission.

Mostly good choices for fall, except 4 images. These 4 images are all good. But, could fit other seasons

Excellent choices by the PN editors. Nearly everyone of these is a wonderful image.

The Bellagio is a beautiful place!

I always respond to seasonal thems on World Wide Web sites by wondering how many people are aware (as opposed to just intellectually knowing) that it is not Fall (or Autumn, depending on where you come from) in half of the world. OK, looking at the past week of unseasonal grey cold weather, it's not really summer here either, but the days are getting longer and everything is sprouting and blossoming.

As expected, all the photos you chose are excellent with real pale Autumn colors. The corn of course could be in a tribute to Summer.Having a mood to look into the "not obvious" today, i believe the photo with the red umbrella protecting the pram from the first drops of rain is a very witty way to wave the banner of this wonderful season.Greetings to all of you.

Excellent initiative. Congratulations to the Editors. The pic's are of course all very good but in my view the themes are too broad for anyone to comment on the choice. I can have opinions on individual photos some of which I find absolutely gorgeous and others that don't speak to me as something special. In order not only to get congratulations from members it would be good if questions were formulated by the editors for us to reflect on. Without it we would only have another interesting "No words" forum with some supporting words permitted.

I'll add my modest contribution to your pic's.

Folliage and Gate

Excellent choices. I am new to the community and was trying to decide if to join. Thanks to all who have commented on my images and helped me make my decision. Viewing others work and receiving constructive comments is extremely educational.

it's not the first time i enjoy the fall colors, and that behind my wish of comment. every year, i rent a house for three months and that only because the view when trees put on the fall dress before the winter coming and left them naked.

All pictures that you have chosen are beautiful, and have one thing in common: they are all composed of basically two (2) dominant colours and many nuances or tones. Am I right about that?
