These are lovely pictures but really Easter is a religious Day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. I would think at least some of pictures might relate to going to church, etc.

Not everyone goes to church.

"Not everyone goes to church."

Is that the point? Easter IS about Christ and His resurrection and it's a very reasonable question to ask why nothing related to that fact is in this group of photos. Actually Easter IS Christ.

Of course not everyone goes to church. But I imagine there are a plethora of members on PN that DO go to church. It's about being inclusive.

I tend to agree Jo, counting myself among the some 2.1 billion Christians in the world today. I tried to allude to the Resurrection with my lilies of the field ("Peace Reborn") photograph above, but symbols are not always interpreted the way we intended. Regards.

I just looked at your photo Walter and it is simply beautiful. I didn't even realize that this area (for Themes) was here and if I'd have only seen your photo in another forum I might have understood what you meant. But I might not have either. Since there's soooooo many floral photos posted on PN your photo probably wasn't taken as a statement 'about' Easter. Sadly in our present world I think it's pretty much necessary to make a direct point of the Christian aspect if it’s in our work, even at Easter (sad, isn't it?).

What gets me is when I read something like the comment above signifying someone who doesn't see the NEED to focus on Jesus at Easter or Christmas. It's like.......uh......HELLLOOOO...why do you think this IS celebrated?

If you haven't seen the work of Laurence Jordache please look. His work is utterly beautiful and there's no question about what he's 'saying'. I know you'll love his Christ centered photos.
