Wonderful photos, well done!

The "Old Apple Orchard" by Scott Neuner above (great photograph BTW) is a B&W conversion taken during the end of September in Maryland. It is hardly an image of snow and ice. The conversion resembles an IR emulsion with some sense of wood effect. It might serve the Editor's Picks selection better if the jury glanced at the Tech Details. Regards.

Walter, thanks for pointing that out. We selected a more appropriately-themed image to fill that slot.

Stunning photos. I'm going on a snow and ice photographic outing in July this year - here's hoping I can take as nice photos as these when I'm there!
