These awards are given in three different ways, one by our writers/editors/moderators/admins, one by the Photo.net user community, and one by Photo.net Chief Admin Josh Root.

Josh Root has been around photo.net since 1998, has been a profession photographer since 2000, has authored dozens of equipment reviews, has run the whole site since 2006, and has been a gear nut the whole time.
