I am possibly moving to the Washington DC/Silver Spring, MD area in the next year and I am looking into places I can take my 120 color film to be developed. In the past I have been able to take it to a local Wal-Mart and either send it out (for only $2) or just get it developed there for $1.75. It has worked out very well. I know there is a Wal-Mart in the area but sometimes they can be stubborn and not want to send it out. I am not familiar with Ritz Camera or the other stores in the area. Can anyone tell me some places I will be able to take my film?

Chrome in Georgetowne is THE main Pro lab but pricey.
Then there is L'Imagerie also called "The Photography Shoppe" in Bethesda MD that has decent prices and no issues to report (dust/scratches, etc). The turnaround is somewhat slow for both C-41 and E-6.
Reiger used to be okay, they are in upper Montgomery Co now and may not deal with film anymore... printing services for larger exhibition type stuff, tradeshow graphics etc is their specialty.
Let me know if I can help with any b&w work you might have.

Penn Camera has several locations. Their store on E Street NW seems to be the main pro-oriented shop. They definitely do 120. There used to be a MotoFoto on 7th Street NW that was very good and did 120 but it's closed and I can't speak to other MotoFoto locations. MotoFoto is basically a consumer snapshot place but iit's a franchise and the quality and what they do is up to each owner to a certain degree, so some are better than others. Reiger comes very highly recommended by a friend of mine who does high end weddings and other work but like Bruce says I'm not sure if the still do film. Another friend takes his 120 to the National Geographic lab, at least for chrome, not sure abot C-41. None of these places are cheap. For developing and prints from C-41, expect somewhere around $15 give or take. More with a CD added on. Ritz Camera is strictly consumer level, not a pro shop. There are Wal-Marts all over the area, I assume including the north side of town where Silver Spring is. Just look on their web site and it should tell you.
