Bit of good news for all 110 users...

Ian Rance , May 30, 2009; 05:52 p.m.

Well, I never thought I would see it, but I have managed to get some fresh 100 speed 110 film. It is Fuji Super G 'Pocket Film' and I got it yesterday via mail order from Japan Exposures (formerly Megaperls).

When I ordered it I thought it was an error, but no, after 1 week a packet arrived containing 5 fresh films (dated April 2011). For users of better 110 cameras this will be good news - no longer will you need to use that grainy Kodak 400 or outdated 200 Superia of the 'bay. 5 rolls including postage to the UK cost me just under 25 pounds.

Naturally a roll is running through my camera now and I will post results after I have finished it and had it procesed. It has really cheered me up to see this!

Fuji 100 film and a couple of hungry cameras

That's great news! I don't have any "serious" 110 cameras, just a couple of simple point and shoot ones, mostly just to play around with and out of nostalgia for the 110 cameras I used when I was a kid in the 80's and 90's. But I definitely want to get some of this film now! Thanks for letting us know about this!

I buy from Japan Images so I will look to get some 110 film the next time a friend goes to Japan. My complaint about 110 film was not the grain of the Kodak film but the poor processing from the few places which still handle it. When he was here some years ago , a friend from Japan used a Minolta 110 Zoom SLR Mark II and got excellent results.

Great to know! I would rather it be Kodak, but I'll shoot any 110 I can get.

Discount Films Direct is selling fresh Superia 200 at £3.35 a roll.

I want Varachrome Pan in 110 I know that won't happen.... I have a Minolta 110 zoom and I found that of all places dropping the film off ad Wal-Mart for send out gave me the best processing and I have a freezer full of Solaris 200.

Fresh Super G film? I thought that was discontinued in the late 90s for Superia?

Larry, you could always try respooling 16mm film into a 110 cartridge, and developing it yourself. Goat Hill Photo sells unperforated 16mm film, as well as 110 cartridges that you can cut open. You can also buy a film slitter, and cut your own emulsion. The only tank that I know of that develops 16mm film is the Yankee Clipper II, available for $9.99 from B&H.

Does anyone make 110 slide film?

Patrick Mont , May 31, 2009; 08:26 p.m.

I think the only 110 slide film is stuff you cut yourself. Is there any place in the US to buy 110?
