TBI cable release

James Gallagher , Nov 20, 2009; 07:09 p.m.

I have acquired a Crown Graphic with a Kodak Synchro Rapid 800 shutter. The manual says it takes a TBI cable release. The connector on the shutter for this cable release is plastic and does not seem to be threaded to take a standard cable release. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Kodak's TBI cable release is a completely conventional cable release with the normal tapered thread at the end. It's TBI because it has a setting that automatically latches for "T" (time) operation, or otherwise can be used for "B" (bulb) or "I" (instantaneous).
The Synchro Rapid 800 shutter is not known for reliability or durablility, it was running too hard.
