Good. I've got it lined up.

Michael S. , May 17, 2005; 09:31 p.m.

Is that a little breeze I'm feeling ?

Michael S. , May 17, 2005; 09:35 p.m.

All taken Sunday afternoon w/ M6 and 40mm Summicron-C. Slight crop on the first two, significant crop on the third, and minor adjustments to all using photocrack elements.

John Painter , May 17, 2005; 09:41 p.m.

HEY...that's my sister!

Rich 815 , May 17, 2005; 09:49 p.m.

Too bad you were not carrying the 135.

~ Jon ~ , May 17, 2005; 10:04 p.m.

I miss Grant. He always had the best butt shots.

Marc Lieberman , May 17, 2005; 10:11 p.m.

Well seen!

Michael S. , May 17, 2005; 11:13 p.m.

John - Well ... she is attractive ...

Richard - Don't have a 135. Didn't figure this was one of those times where it would make sense for me to "zoom with my feet."

Marc - thanks.

Jon - I hear ya.

Pete - Trying to just stay one step ahead of any thought police, a feat I accomplish by not thinking. And let's be candid: sometimes the Forum just isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Gary Woodard , May 17, 2005; 11:33 p.m.

I dont find the humor in this, this is if you are not aware, is a womans butt crack, we are talking about, lets us do the christian thing and delete this thread, in the name of god, have we lost all honor and respect for our wives and daughters some of whom are fighting on foriegn soil, so they we may spread the practice of butt crack photography?, please lets not get on our ponies and go down this road, this road which will lead us to the gates of hell.

Michael S. , May 18, 2005; 12:20 a.m.

Uh oh -:)

Erin Boyd , May 18, 2005; 01:21 a.m.

Just delete that idiot Garys political rant moderator, after all god created women to be appreciated and whats wrong with a bit of ass? I presume the inoffensive pic is a Leica one so is relevant here.

Al Kaplan - Miami, FL , May 18, 2005; 01:27 a.m.

Let's not get political with the editing either please. Just delete the posting with the spelling, punctuation, and capitalization errors.

Man's perrenial dillema

Man emerged crying and screaming, stinking and covered in slime from a woman's vagina, and he has been trying to get back in ever since. No wonder we are all so messed up and insist on building phallic monuments such as cruise missles, and the Capitol building, basically the end of a penis. Then how else do you explain men's perrenial obsession with finding newer and more efficient ways to kill each other. The less men around the more chance we have of making it back inside a woman. We really are an accursed species.

And women simply gaze at our strange behaviour in bemusement..

Gary Woodard , May 18, 2005; 02:46 a.m.

i think a little fill-flash could of been useful here, and the bokeh is terrible.

Gary Woodard , May 18, 2005; 02:48 a.m.

erin, apparently you wouldnt know sarcassim if it bit you in the butt.

claude batmanghelidj , May 18, 2005; 03:22 a.m.

This forum

Is like the drain at the bottom of the shower. All kinds of scum and slime comes washing down into it along with a big matted bunch of hair and other gunk.

I really need to get off the freakin' internet, this is a MAJOR WASTE OF TIME!

Terry Rory , May 18, 2005; 03:27 a.m.

"And women simply gaze at our strange behaviour in bemusement.."

Do me a favour! Women like certain leaders of India, Israel and the UK in the 60s, 70s and 80s who were not shy about sending troops to war?

Women who in 2 world wars made the bullets and shells and tanks and planes?

Women (often relatives) who issued white feathers to any young fit man who was not in uniform to shame him into enlisting during WW1?

Ali G , May 18, 2005; 04:41 a.m.

geat shots michael S. did you get a hard-on this time. or was she too far away?

Paul Neuthaler , May 18, 2005; 08:11 a.m.

Here's a great old Leica Butt shot:

Gary Woodard , May 18, 2005; 08:55 a.m.

In my state is illegal to photograph up a womans skirt, down her blouse, down her pants etc., without her knowledge and to post on the internet those photos for less than wholesome viewing, but I am sure the moderaters are aware of these laws, right fellas? Why isnt this post deleted?

Michael S. , May 18, 2005; 09:16 a.m.

Which state, Gary ?

I ask because it's conceivably among those in which I'm well known ... probably on account of those "WANTED" posters featuring bad bokeh photos of me taken at a distinctly unflattering angle -:)

enrique munoz , May 18, 2005; 09:39 a.m.

Although I find this post rather unfunny, it could just be my lack of humour.

I found Gary's first post hilarious, but now I realise that may be he was actually being serious. It is hard for me to understand whether all the rantings on this thread are actually for real or in jest.

enrique munoz , May 18, 2005; 09:51 a.m.

I now realise it was all in jest, had me worried.

Rick Helmke , May 18, 2005; 10:48 a.m.

Now THIS is why I keep reading this forum.

This forum never fails to amuse me.

Yesterday some photographer posted pictures of a minor automobile accident and everybody jumped down his throat for the horrible scene that he'd photographed and his insensitivity. It was in a public place. No big deal. Who cares?

Now today we get more "butt" shots. That's okay, too, as far as I'm concerned. No moral outrage today.

This forum never fails to amuse me.

Paul Neuthaler , May 18, 2005; 11:00 a.m.

Focus in on the main issue...

a little help from Picasa2

Michael S. , May 18, 2005; 11:28 a.m.

The lonely duck (ahem, barely visible) swimming in the distance in my version has just e-mailed me asking that I post an objection to Paul's crop. Just doing what I'm told...

Lutz Konermann , May 18, 2005; 11:52 a.m.

I think the subtle line between humour an voyeurism lies in composition...

lining it up, as you said...

Paul Neuthaler , May 18, 2005; 11:52 a.m.

Never pay attention to ducks -- particularly lonely ones. . .

Michael S. , May 18, 2005; 01:27 p.m.

Yes, Lutz -- you're right. Had I known how to do what you just did, I'd have attempted it.

If I might ask: How'd you do that ?

thanks -

Douglas K. , May 18, 2005; 01:31 p.m.

These photos offend me because they are boring, not because they feature ass cleavage.

Lutz Konermann , May 18, 2005; 03:11 p.m.

Michael, I moved about three feet to the left. ;-) Seriously, that's a very simple PS cut-and-paste job, given the completely undistorted horizontal and vertical lines in your first shot. Cheers.

Lutz Konermann , May 18, 2005; 03:44 p.m.

Hmm, this version here better respects the reflections...

#2

Paul Neuthaler , May 18, 2005; 05:17 p.m.

I agree re: importance of composition to separate Art from mere Voyeurism: in fact, if you focus on my cropped version of Michael's photo, you will see how the woman's arms create a sculpture that makes the crack in her ass a small aside.

Michael S. , May 18, 2005; 05:20 p.m.

Paul - No wonder your "WANTED" posters are usually right next to mine.

Basil Brush , May 18, 2005; 05:23 p.m.

It's a bit fat.

Paul Neuthaler , May 18, 2005; 06:21 p.m.

I love the LF -- all about Leica

I think this was taken with a Calumet 8"X10"

Douglas K. , May 18, 2005; 06:57 p.m.

...And with Paul's last post, this officially becomes the "Childish Thread of the Week" on the Leica Forum. Funny how a bunch of codgers become little boys when they get together to wank on their cameras.

Eliot Rosen , May 18, 2005; 07:06 p.m.

Now you know why people like to fondle Leicas. :-)
