Optics from Piesker/Berlin (e.g. for Hasselblad 1000F)

Ulrik Neupert , Feb 19, 2007; 02:48 p.m.

Hi, I can't find any detailed information about an optics company in Berlin/Germany that must have existed in the 1950s. The name of the company is Piesker. According to Rick Nordin's fine Hasselblad book they also made some optics for Hasselblad 1000F/1600F cameras. Most optics found in auctions are with Exacta mount.

In fact I have one in front of me, a Tele-Votar 5,5/180 mm lens with Hasselblad 1600F/1000F mount. Problem is that I can't test it at the moment as my 1000F cameras are away for service/repair for a while. The mechanical construction appears to be of very good quality. Has anybody experience with these lenses, knows something about the company?

Nice to know , that you are also a 1000F/1600F fan . I have two 1600F in excellent condition but have not worked with them yet . Sorry i can't help you with your problem , but this is to let you know , you are not alone in the historical HASSELBLAD world .

Hi Jrgen, 1600F, how nice! I could not resist getting a 1000F when a nice complete one appeared with "buy now" option on ebay for a reasonable price. Then I got a second one, though in a sorry state, but including lots of accessories. I like using old cameras. Just came back from a business trip to the US where I used a 70 year old Leica III.

What lenses do you have with your 1000F ? ? ? I have the DISTAGON 60mm , the TESSAR 80mm and the PLANAR 135mm in very good state . My dream would be a wonderful EKTAR , either 80mm or 135mm . I know where to get them , but i believe we already spoke about this in an other thread , Kevins prices are too high .

The only remaining genius repair engeneer is : DAVID KNAPMAN , PRO CAMERA SERVICE , 43801 LANDVETTER , SWEDEN . You will have to write him . I never got him at the phone . Please be aware , that not all parts are still available .
