Have recently got a Minox 35 ML from a friend. The camera have not
been used for more than 15 years and the battery was empty of
course. I could not get a PX 28 Lithium battery, instead I tryed a
Panasonic alkaline 4LR44. The camera refuses to work! Can anyone
tell me were to get the right battery or is the camera maybe dead
for ever??

I'm not 100% sure that the 35 ML is exactly the same as a 35 EL. However I just replaced the battery in my 35 EL with an alkaline V27PX, available at Batteries Plus for $6.99.
Some people have voiced concern about the 6v vs. 5.6 for the original mercury. In my case the exposure is excellent, and I use it every day.

HI
Search in this forum, there are some hints on how to use normal batteries, using the shell of the old one. There is also a link to someone who sells replacements on ebay.
Unless you made a non-conductive sleeve for the cells, they will short out.

I'll try to attach a copy of the manual. If the attachment doesn't work:
Lithium Batteries
Duracell Px 28 L
Ucar L544 (PX 28L)
Varta V 28 PX L
Silver Oxide Batteries
Duracell PX 28
Ucar 544 (PX 28)
Varta V 28 PX

Nah, attaching a pdf doesn't seem to be possible. Email me and I'll send it to you.
