Martin,I was looking for a price on these beauties, but I could not see any. While I am and will be a film user,I wish to get one of these rollei cameras. From your pics, looks like they deliver indeed. So,where one can see some prices, and how much one is to expect to fork out for a similar camera?
best regards

iulian, I don't know the price of the Italian red limited edition
Rolleiflex minidigi.Since it is a "limited edition" camera, it will be
quite pricy.
The original black minidigi was sold out on Minox.de site. However
B&H mays till have stock, at about $293, Wolfcamera.com, CameraWorld.com list it at $199.

It sells for about 35,000 yen in Japan, less 5% if you export it and less the usual discounts from places like BicCamera (about 5-10% depending on how you pay). I saw it in a box under glass but had no time to look closer. Will go to Japan again in couple of weeks.
Is it any good? The specs are very slim. It has a 2.8 lens but it does not say whether the aperture is always open or adjusts smaller in bright light. The speed goes only down to 1/15s so not much use in low light. How accurate is the exposure? As it only shoots jpegs the exposure needs to be pretty accurate to be of any use. Can the sport finder be used like in real Rollei? How is the construction? Is it a plastic toy or reasonably well made? I would appreciate some comments from owners. I agree with the Japanese women that it is 'kawaii' (cute). I don't expect it to perform like a $300 digicam, but I don't need a useless toy either, especially when it costs $300.

Functionally, the red Rolleiflex minidigi is the same as the black version. The lens is fix focus, fix aperture, unlike the 6x6 Rolleiflex which you can change aperture and shutter speed, there is
nothing to change in the minidigi. However the exposure is quite accurate.
See thread :
Examples of Rolleiflex mindigi shots
There is a little bit of flare when facing a strong light source, other than that, this little gem works quite well.
It is an accurate replica of the 1926 6x6 Rolleiflex.
The LCD display is too small to be any use, instead, I use the finder on the hood for framing.
www.wolfcamera.com selling the black version minidigi at $199.

Thanks. I will try it out in BicCamera next time I'm in Japan. If it is sold out I will not be disappointed. But if they still have one and it feels nice, I think I buy one just for the fun of it.
Buy the way, Voigtlander has also made a new 500 batch of SWC finders. The angle ones with superior optics to the original Zeiss. About 40,000 yen.

The SWC was sold out early
Another hard to find item is the genuine leather case of the Minox Rolleiflex Classic, the same case fits the Rolleiflex minidigi
The Rolleiflex minidig would look much prettier in a genuine leather
case.

I am interested in a leather case for the Rollei Mini Digi too, but aren't the dimensions slightly different?
The Mini Digi is 49x73x45mm, while the Rolliflex 2.8 is 45x77x45mm. These measurements are taken from the respective camera specs listed online.
Would the same case fit both cameras?
