just got an RTS III and put a roll of film in it. The screen brightness, the almost silent sound of the shutter ... brings back memories of when I had one and found it wanting in comparison to my F5(the metering just didn't stack up and I shot chromes) and walked away. Still, the elegance of it ... yes, a lust thing.

That's it?
Where's the camera porn?
Where are the pictures? ;)
Congratulations though. I ended up settling for a 139Q, elegant, but not quite up to the RTS.
You "walked away"? what does that mean? Many of us have whole odas full of cameras which we shoot when their turn comes.

I have long wanted one of the RTS's; please share a photo so that I can break one of the Ten Commandments.

I bought an RTS III last spring after 20+ years of unsatiated lust and desire. I was a devoted T90 user way back when; one day I walked into the local camera store and the pusher behind the counter beckoned me over. He says to me "You gotta see this!" and sets an RTS III on the counter in front of me. He told me all about it, and I didn't hear a word.
Mine is part of a growing accumulation of Contax gear, including the RX and AX. Next on my shopping list are the RTS II and S2b. I certainly want a second RX, possibly another RTS III as well.

I like my recently acquire 167MT. I always have my eye out for an RTS II / Aria bargain.

what is it with the camera porn? Surely you can just visualize it or fantasize ...

A picture is said to be worth a thousand words. Not everyone knows what the different cameras look like.

It doesn't help that in all the old official reviews of film cameras here on p.net, none of them seem to actually have a picture of the camera they are reviewing. I love reading the old reviews and having no photos drives me nuts, especially since USA model names often are different to international model names, I keep muttering... Just show me the flipping camera already!
