Brent Wilson ' The Shallow DOF Man' , Jan 22, 2002; 08:18 a.m.

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of any Nature Photography workshops being held in Oregon this summer. I'am planning a trip to visit relatives in Portland with my family and was wondering if there are any interesting workshops happening when I'am there, ( Mid- June to Mid- August ) Any information would be apperciated. Cheers Brent.

Occasionally I receive e-mail from Oregon-based nature photographer Charles Campbell. He holds workshops in Oregon and other Western US states. Take a look at his web site for more information. Please note that I do not know Charles Campbell and have never attended his photo workshops. Therefore, I have no idea about the quality of those workshops; this is just for your information only.

Take a look at workshops by Peter Schutte. http://home.jps.net/~pschutte/photoworkshops/ I haven't taken one of his workshops but I have purchased some of his work which I admire. People I know who have taken the workshops have enjoyed them.

Nancy Rotenberg from Natural Tapestries has one scheduled for August, it's tied to Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I've taken their weekend macro workshop and it was great. Her and Michael are great people, and very helpful.

I know that Art Wolfe is doing two workshops this summer. One is August 2-4, 2002. It is a 3-day Olympic Peninsula Workshop which starts in Port Angeles, Washington. The other is May 12-18, 2002. It is a Luxury Yacht Alaska Workshop out of Sitka - Juneau, Alaska. These are really great workshops, that give you an opportunity to work one-on-one with one of if not the best wildlife and nature photographer. If you have any questions about the workshops go to www.artwolfe.com.
