Photo should be no more than 700 pixels on the longest side and requires a caption to be posted inline.

Fairy carrying a light sabre. Pretty common in my part of the world.

But more seriously, place, time, lens etc would help.

That's what I thought, they were all over the church lawn last night til I chased them.
I'm in northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. It was around 10:00 PM, bright moon and this was just to the east of the moon. It was taken on a D7K, 70/200 w/1.7 converter, maybe a 45 sec exposure, F22, I'm pretty sure it was all the way out so what 360mm on a tripod.
Thanks for the reply

This is in orbit? It wouldn't happen to be the International Space Station, would it?

Kent Staubus , Jan 29, 2012; 11:09 a.m.

Dang, I was going to guess a Lactobacillus of some sort. The space station is considerably larger than that.
Kent in SD

45 secs is a long time and suggests a geostationary orbit of something. Doug might be right, but I'm no astronomer so maybe someone else can be more helpful. Curious!
