Greetings all.I'm new here in this forum. Although I'm not so new to
photo.net, lot of things have changed since I was using photo.net
actively more than three years ago. I also lost all my old account
info on this server. It's good to be back here.
Anyway, I'm working on restoring some old AIS and some AF lenses.
There used to be interanl diagrams(or lens construction diagram) for
Nikon lenses at Nikon USA site and Nikon Japan site. Now I can't find
them anymore at their sites. They only show features and some simple
specs. Do anyone know a place or a link for these diagrams?
TIA
Richard

eBay. You will find actual (factory) repair manuals for old lenses.

Well, which lenses and why? I know I've used the Nikon Full Product guide as mentioned
above for guidance when planning a lens cleaning. I used it to figure out if I could pull one
whole optical group out together rather than the individual elements, and I assume you
are trying to do the same. Let me know which lens you need and maybe if I have the
element diagram I can scan it. Aloha

Nikon has made lenses since before the war to end all wars, so which lens?

There are (simple) diagrams for AF lenses at the european Nikon sites, e.g., www.europe-nikon.com/uk for English Language. Just browse the lens categories en the left.
Cheers,

Thanks for help, everyone. Lucky enough, I got a copy of the Nikon Guide from a local, still family owned Nikon dealer today. And thanks for the UK site for the AF diagram. There are the ones I'm looking for.
Christiaan, thanks for the kind offer. It is about the grouping. It helps do the job a little easier.
Best Regards.
