No, sorry.

I bought a couple for my D1 (same battery) from LaptopsForLess and they work okay. The lock dial on the end wasn't quite as nice - it doesn't have the flip-up thing. But compared to the price of the Nikon brand EN-4, they are a deal. It's hard to beat two for $40 instead of one for $90.

I have En-EL4a and En-EL3e replacement batteries from Calumet, and have no complaints. The price on the EL4a is low. On the EL3e the savings is only about $5.

I have 3 that I bought from *bay. The first was about a year and a half ago, the other two about half a year ago from a different seller. The first worked ok then died just after 1 year (after the 1 year warranty expired, of course), but I got it to work again by replacing one of the cells inside.

The newer two are from seller suntekstore and so far are very good. They were advertised as 2100mAh but the actual batteries I received were marked 2150 and 2200. These will hold a charge for weeks and weeks, compared to the earlier clone that would hold its charge for a week or so and then show as dead when you pick up your camera. Unfortunately this seller doesn't seem to be selling these anymore.

Similar to Tom's experience, I found that the latches on the clones are nowhere near as secure as the ones on the real thing.

In many cases you can swap the latch-end from a Nikon EN-4 to an aftermarket battery - there are two screws, one either side of the little bolt, and these have been set about the same distance apart on all the aftermarket brands I've seen. I've heard that Battery Barn provide good alternatives, and there's someone out there trying to jerry-rig a Li-Ion solution to address the 'battery life problem' (I've no name or link, and wouldn't want to invite you to risk bricking the camera in any case!).

The latches on my 3rd party batteries actually work fine and did hold the battery securely.

The only difference was that removing the batter consisted of twist-slide instead of the Nikon batteries flip-twist-slide. The batteries fit just as well in the bay and I've never had an issue with accidentally sliding the battery out.
