Hi, I have been testing some outdated 4x5" Polaroids, without sucess; sadly, there are bright strips in the middle of the frame (it has been given to me 5 free boxes, 20 sheets each!) :( This is the still life I used for testing.

D700 @ 200ISO, 14bit RAW, 105VR (1/60 - f11) with the flash at -0.3EV (+ a white cardboard on left. Processed in Aperture.

If you like to join, feel free to post your favourite weekly pic, taken with Nikon gear. Thank you all.

A Big hello to everyone!!!

I have submitted a few pictures of Tower Bridge in the past but I’ve never managed to take a picture of it at dawn. After returning home in the wee hours on Sunday morning, I thought since I’m up, why not go and take a picture and this was the result.

Hello forum!
I hope everyone had a great week and an even better coming up!
I almost forgot it was PiCTuRe DaY! Here I have this little Canadian Canary! Or is it a duck? Anyway, he was aware of me but I think he new I wasn't gonna hurt him so he let me approach as much as I could. I got so close that I had to removed the TC and only used my 300 to get a head close up. I wasn't sure which one to post but for my own taste I like whole bodies better!
I love that shot Jose!
Something to think about: "Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die"

Jose-- I love the texture and lighting of the photograph.
Anish-- I love the color and capture.
Chris-- How do you get the dragonfly to stay still close enough for those great shots?
Per- I like the caption. It makes the photo, plus the lion looks like he had his hair done for some reason.

Good morning everyone - it's 12:45am here in L.A. & I've not touched a camera in over two weeks. I've done no post processing or anything - I've taken a break & read a book on how to seriously overdo post processing - interesting experience/read to say the least....
I see the thread is off to a great start as usual. :-) I do so look forward to Wednesday's thread each week - just as I dread it somewhat horribly.... What to present is always a difficult decision for me.
Jose - love the dried roses
Anish - lovely shot of the Tower Bridge in London.
Chris - another beautiful dragon (glad I decided against processing one of mine.)
Rene' - lovely Canada Goose - - yes it's a goose. :-)
Per-Christian - that's a sweet pose from that lion, looks like he's sorry for something he's done. ;-)
Jose Rivera - great angle.
Ton - another great shot - excellent conversion
Shun - that's not only a great action shot, it's also a fun shot.
So I yet again offer something shot a few weeks back, but I just reprocessed for our little thread. :-) This is another IR shot taken a while back with my converted D70 & the 18-70mm DX lens. This is a colorized IR where I've brought back the color of blue in the shot.Hope you'll enjoy this slightly different take on an IR shot.
D70, 18-70mm DX, ISO 200, 1/400s, f/8 at 27mm
