SB-600 fault.

Dylan Jaggar , Sep 05, 2010; 01:32 a.m.

I mounted my sb-600 the other day to find that i had it on wireless mode. I held down the 'zoom' and '-' buttons to access the menu and then.... nothing. The background light is on all the time but no text. None of the buttons work. Nothing. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Pull the batteries, wait a minute, replace the batteries. You might also try a simple reset; this is directly from the SB-600 manual.

Thanks. That was the first things I tried. Over and over :). Still no good.

Hold the Zoom and - keys and you should be able to turn CLS off. Pulling the batteries also works for me.

but no text.

That would cause me concern as I've never seen the SB-600 screen blank.

If battery replace and reset isn't curing this, I believe you have a faulty unit.

Can you fire the flash with the test button?
