Nice, Ellis. I also didn't realize they were shipping yet. I realize this is only one picture, but have you had a chance to do any more with this combo, and care to comment? Thanks.

Ellis Vener , Feb 17, 2011; 12:18 a.m.

Hosteen yes I have but not just yet.

I had no probelsm with factory standard sync settings all the way up to 1/8000th second shutterspeed but as with all FP /HSS type syncign with all smart speedlights that can do FP/HSS syncing, there is less light from the flash to work with as you increase shutter speed. With the D7000+ControlTL system + SB700 that point appears initially to be around 1/2000 second. More details later.

This is obviously a square crop from the entire frame but only the sides were cropped out. Focusing distance was around 0.7 meters.

Where were you able to buy this?

Ellis Vener , Feb 17, 2011; 12:36 p.m.

Buy what? The D7000, the 24-120mm f/4G, The SB700, or the Pocketwizard ControlTL for Nikon system?

Luke Kaven , Feb 23, 2011; 05:45 a.m.

Sorry, I keep forgetting those are all "new" items : I mean the Pocketwizard for Nikon system.
