This week I ticked off an item on my bucket list, I went and saw Rodger Waters perform "The Wall" what an amazing experience. It
was more than I bargained for.
It is probably the last opportunity to see it as well.
Do you guys have bucket list items that may not be around for ever, and will you take the opportunity?

to me a bucket list equals wishfull thinking. I only look forward to things I know I'm going to do. No need to dwell on anything else.

I'd like a new bucket. A nice galvanised one.

I can tell you that the roses were sweet all these years. I have nothing in such a bucket save a slight yearning, very slight, to get a hole-in-one.

Among many things on that list I'm wanting to get a good telescope with tracker and camera and photograph deep sky objects. Still deciding on what system to get. Working on it. Just ordered a couple astronomy courses from the Great Courses, do some studying up. The courses are on their way, should be here Monday. Also chewing my way through a program of observations that you submit and can earn a certificate. Damned cloudy weather! Argh. Strange things for a middle-aged tomboy to set goals for, but having fun with it. Can't afford several of the other bucket list items that involve travel, so pretty much gave up on those and focus to things closer to home and within budget.

Here in the USA, I have one National Battlefield Park from the Civil War left to visit. That is the Glorietta Pass battlefield in New Mexico. Planning to go out as soon as the weather warms up a trifle and we get past the probably blizzard season. The 150th anniversary of the battle is this March, so will try to squeeze in if I can get away then. I guess it won't go away unless the Park Service Budget is cut to zero and the site is sold to developers.
My last visited site from the War last spring was, appropriately enough, The Appomattox Courthouse site where Lee surrendered to Grant.

The list will always get longer for me, I think. I'm working through them as expeditiously as possible, and I'm glad that I've been able to do and see those things that we've marked off already. This is my wife's 10th anniversary of cancer-free life after a major scare, so one of the items we set back then was a very special celebration which is coming up in March of this year. There's a few race cars I still need to drive, a safari in Africa that needs to be done, and a couple of very specific places to see elsewhere in the world. There's the need to be around when my grandchildren graduate, and maybe when they get married, and to be able to as I say that we enjoyed everything we did, no matter how awful it might have been at the time.

Have you been to Fort Fisher JDM that's near me, always full of fun faces.
I refuse to smile

No, my check off list was just that by chance and design I have made it now to all the National Battlefield Parks from the Civil War in the East. There are lots of state battlefield monuments that I haven't been to, however, although I've made as many as I've found myself close to. Fort Fisher is not among them, but I will be making it to the mid-Atlantic again for other sufficient reasons so maybe sometime.
For some reason they kept telling me I was wearing the wrong hat.
