I could not believe it. But soon you'll be able to put a ultra fast lens on your m 4/3 camera that acts like a 35mm lens. Welcome the Nokton 17.5/0.95. Here is the link: http://www.cosina.co.jp/seihin/voigt/v-lens/micro-ft/17.5mm0.95.html

I really don't find this news too exciting. I love small compact primes. A couple of them can slip in a jacket or vest pocket, camera on shoulder, and your good to go. Where is the nice small, light 17mm f2 that will be about 4.5 oz., 1 in. long without hood, and cost about $400~$500? Is the m4:3 now to become a playground only for those with lots of disposable income? I suppose that for a few folks the killer app would be the new OM-D and CV's 17.5mm f0.95, 25mm f0.95, and the 50mm f1.1 in M mount with an adapter. More power to them but where are the lenses for the rest of us mere mortals.

I find this very exciting. Voigtlander support is the best thing that happened to MFT, AFAIAC.

The good news surely is that other manufacturers than just Olympus and Panasonic are entering the M4/3 field ... didn't we hear that Sigma had a couple of lenses for us? It is not just a Panoly picnic.
