Ritz Camera Pentax Clearance

Greg Funka , Nov 20, 2009; 06:55 p.m.

Hi Everyone,

I'm not a Pentax user, but thought you all might be interested in Ritz's clearance sale, which includes what looks like some random dslr accessories, including the first generation 18-55mm lens for $70. There are some flashes, too. Here's the link: http://www.ritzcamera.com/search/Pentax/clearance/_/N-1z1414gZ1z1407g?bct=%3Bciclearance. Enjoy!

Prices look good. Almost too good. But they aren't rated well at all. Has anyone here used them?

Patrick - Ritzcamera.com is the online version of probably one of if not the biggest U.S. chain of camera stores/photo finishers. They did declare bankruptcy last year, but seemed to have emerged leaner and healthier (they closed a bunch of stores - now those were great prices!).

Thank you Greg for bringing this to our attention.

Hmmm, I've been dragging my feet about flash (it just seems so complicated and I figure no flash is better than bad flash) but that AF-540FGZ seems like a good deal....

I realize what Ritz is. But their online store is rated very poor (one of the poorest). With a bunch of recent bad reviews.
Actually I take it back... the 10-17mm and the 540 flash that I was looking at are not as good as I thought. Prodig has them for a better price.

Ritz? Did someone say Ritz?
Avoid.

The Ritz/Wolf camera stores here in the SF Bay area are nearly, if not completely, gone. My beef with them is that they sold Pentax digital SLR's, but never promoted or advertised what they had.
