'The Fail' by John Crosley | 2016-04-30

Not everything is a bed of roses for this tired cyclist who first sat on the small wall, then laid back onto the grass for a smoke when a fellow youth came by and decided to apply a little pedal power of his own -- to our bicyclist's face! Your ratings, critiques and observations are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly, very critically or wish to make an observation, please submit a helpful and constructive comment. Please share your photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! john

platonic 1 (Version 4) by Jamie Kraft | 2016-04-30
Abstract

Leica produced four 35-mm Summicrons, their name for an f/2.0 lens. My first Leica lens was a Version Two.

Version Four, the 'King of Bokeh,' is widely thought to be the best, so I later bought the Version Four I took this picture with and sold my lowly Version Two.

I took this rather unusual picture to test the bokeh, so it has nothing sharp in it.

Years later I saw comparison images from all four versions, and to me, Version Two seemed the best by far.
