This little one was about 2 days old. It was the first baby for the mother and she was someplace between oblivious andnot letting the baby out of her site. It was a bright crisp October day.

Nameless Caboose, Spencer-Salisbury Yard, 2009 by Landrum Kelly | 2009-11-06

It says "NS" on the side, so I guess it belongs to Norfolk and Southern, but I have no idea what road it used to travel or what color scheme was painted over. The mainline on the other side of the cars used to be the old Southern Railroad mainline from Washington, DC to New Orleans. It is still plenty busy with freights, Amrtrak, and NC commuter trains. Comments welcome.
