THanks for passing by and giving me ratings and tips! i appreciate it alot! if i remembered correctly, i did some curves and saturation.. it's a rare time that i get dramatic sunsets/sunrises in singapore and i mean rare!(1 day out of maybe a year?) that was the only time i saw it and i happened to have my camera with me.. other than that, i don't remember seeing threatening formations of clouds! thanks for sharing your photos! i enjoyed myself!

I only learned of your portfolio today by the image of the week. Yes, I did leave a comment to the architectural image and was of course curious enough to view more pics of yours.

Well, what can I add to what so many others already put down in words? First of all the countryside is my home and I feel (there's only a german word for this) "Heimatgefuehle". Why travelling to far away countries, when the country of my origin is a treasure itself? I drove passed the area of Gengenbach only recently and found it a beautiful place to return. Although it needs to be spring time or autumn, because vineyards have a special attraction to me particularly in those seasons. Going back to your portfolio I love the "Single Photos". I find you have a wonderful eye for detail. You are very observant and that is what makes your pics attractive - they are almost like a piece of art! I will keep watching out for your images from now on. Click, click, PETRA

I had'nt yet taken the time to see your portfolio in its entirety and I am very surprised how you can bring a so great diversity with a so simple theme than a landscape composed of a road in a plain and a sky above it, which is recurrent in your work. Saturday Morning B&W

I'm returning here again and again, studying your images, one by one. Perfect work, I like very much the control you are applying on your themes. This means that you see them and don't simply look at them. I like that you investigate and discover guiding lines in your themes reflecting what is above to what is below. This, together with a meticulous and skilled technique, creates excellent results. I would like to thank you, because you teach me new ways of seeing and composing. BTW I would like to thank you for your critique on the color image "Saturday Morning", posted to the forums a few days ago. I was already aware of a BW conversion alternative and posted it few days latter. It surpasses by far the color version. Best Regards!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. Carsten, thanks for the recent kind words about one of my Autumn photos. I browsed through your portfolio and found many great photos. I found a few to be a bit over-saturated, but that's a matter of taste, right? Anyway- Keep up the excellent work! I appreciate your sense of design and love the clouds/beach scenes.

Doug, thanks a lot ! If you draw a graph "saturation over time" then you will see that my supersaturated period is over. After going digital I was swayed by the typical PN style here, which is still supported by ratings and gallery honors. However, recently I had a flashback with film, kind of second spring with rediscovery of saturated Velvia colors :-)

I enjoyed looking through your portfolio, in particular I like your more recent photos with their open, big sky feel.
