Jose Angel, realmente me has puesto a pensar con tu comentario en mi portafolio, cosa que agradezco enormemente. Coincido contigo, en principio me parece bastante absurdo comparar distintas manifestaciones artisticas, sin embargo la metafora me ha parecido interesanten y debo admitir que la utilice esperando crear alguna polemica. En fin, podria seguir escribiendo sobre el tema, claramente me fascina. Quiza en otro foro podamos tener la ocasi�n de extendernos sobre el tema. Saludos, Juan Carlos

Hola Juan Carlos.

Creo que mucho tienen en comun la Fotografia y la Musica cuando conceptos como composicion, melodia y armonia pueden ser magnificamente aplicados a las sensaciones que nos proporcionan las imagenes con su composicion, sus colores y sus formas.

Creo que la Musica posee la maxima capacidad de abstraccion y expresion artistica ya que utiliza el elemento mas sutil de la existencia -el tiempo- junto a la Musica esta la Imagen que utilizando -la luz- puede conseguir abstracciones casi tan libres como la musica.

Esta -clasificacion-, muy personal, no contradice el hecho de que podamos tener diferentes sensibilidades o apreciaciones de las diferentes tecnicas de expresion artistica de que disponemos, afortunadamente :-)

Jose, thanks for your comment on my portfolio regarding Waiting for the Train. I'm not sure what the answer to your question is. I shot those when I was about 20 years old, and I think that had a lot to do with it. A college aged guy with a camera is not as alarming as a middle aged man with one. But, the camera was a 6x6 twin lens reflex, and for most exposures, was in my lap where it was more discreet, the viewfinder being large enough (and my eyesight being good enough) that I could still see the image. Twin lens cameras also have quiet shutters. I avoided eye contact, too.

So, I'll take the credit for seeing the pictures were there for the taking, but the innocence of youth and of bygone days, and a quiet camera deserve the rest.

Many thanks for your rewarding comments on several of my photos. In your beautifull portfolio, I especially like those photos, which I would call 'minimal art': a detail view, a few shapes and colours and of course the soft light

From Mirada until.. time is red.. and in between your colored life. Great to see a part of ones character in the shots. The sun must have calmed you down.. Yes, every Spaniard has temperament! But every Spaniard isn't photographing! One needs just slightly more for that! Jose, that's shown!

Haces una fotografia muy diferente a la mia, muy personal e intimista; eres capaz de sacar una excelente foto de situaciones/lugares/momentos que a mi me pasarian totalmente inadvertidos. Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. OK !! now one thing I want to tell you that you have made a comment on the link below check this, you started the sentance with the words : "Hi, Bolti...." You know the 'Bolti Ankhen' (Indian Language : HINDI) is not a name. meaning of these wordings are " Telling Eyes" and Bolti stands for "Telling". Isn't it a great sense of humor. I realy impressed with this sense of that guy. I have tried so much thimes to know his/her real name but never got..... You try too.... and whenever you get please tell me friend.
