Samuel-
I am surprized to be the first commenter on your portfolio. I think it's brilliant! It's not often us Americans get to see photographs from an actual military man instead of the media. Your portfolio is very full of heart and soul... this I can tell. The Iraq and American catergories are a very good idea to put into your same portfolio. Let's us view how we are alike and different. Besides these catergories, your people photographs and landscapes are just as lovely. Its great how much passion we can view through your pictures. I'll be back again soon! Kind regards =)

Wonderful portfolio. I think by choosing photography you have chosen a great path for yourself. You seem to capture stories and emotions so well and that is, for me, where photography begins. True, you have been privy to great drama and to wonderful scenes and people to capture, but you used your heart and good eye to capture and convey these things, something not everyone (not many) could do. You have brought truth to our eyes and seen beauty even within tragedy, capturing incredible expressions along the way. Please continue to do this. It will fulfill you and give great emotional experiences to your viewers. Thanks.

Well I'll be out of the Marine Corps soon enough and after that I will be looking for a job. Hope my photo skills can carry me on to something greater. Like your work, enjoy school.

Bravo Zulu,
Great portfolio Samuel. The portrait of the Marine in Fallujah is top-notch. The photos of Sgt. Major Estrada are perfect. The facial expressions of the young Marines brought me back nearly 20 years to a different conflict. Thank you very much....
