I don't normally comment on B&W because I'm really not that fond of them, I think they tend to lack emotion, and unless the photographer can convey emotion, the photo is just a recording of how something looked on a particular day & time in B&W. However..... yours are pretty darn emotional. I think they convey loneliness, coldness, sadness, isolation on top of despair, they are definately not happy-go-lucky. Not one single inclusion of a human form or face. Is there a reason? Every path seems to lead no where? The only hints of live humanity is in very distant views of buildings, possibly homes, I can't tell. They seem so far away, unreachable. I do like your portfolio, it is very, very professional, maybe too professional, are you having any fun? If I rated it, it would have to be 7/7 but...... maybe just a hint of optimism would change your perspective. Respectfully, Jayme

I tend to agree with Jayme's overview of your images. Very professional and yet very distant. There are purists who stick to their choice and you are entitled to do so - creating beautiful images in b/w with your own style. Excellent.

I really find in your photos the joy. When I look at your photos I really do it with all my senses on the alert. Beacause of geometry, black and white tones and places. I find in every photo a "Punctum" (as Roland Barthes said) that makes me say: " I would like to be there", " I wuold like to stop the time and be part of that photo". What am I doing when I look at your portfolio? I do not only give a cursory glance just to say "ok, this is masterpiece, this perfect", but I scan it. I try to find something that hurt me,injure me and seize me, I find something like that in your every single photo.

I?m passed casually here,after your comment left for another user, and I am stopped to observe your beautiful portfolio with absorption.I love the black and white ( not easy ) and you manage in optimal manner with personal cut giving dramatic touch and glamorize these your images.

What a fine sense of form you have. I recall seeing these a couple of months ago and I was so impressed with how you have avoided any manipulation, but just seen what was there the way few others can. Wonderful! Are you shooting digital, medium format...?
