Excellent Portfolio

Roger, your color and black & white images are unique. I especially like your framing and choice of subjects. Well done. You just need to add another 100 or more shots to complete the portfolio.

Phil Rogers , January 04, 2004; 02:31 A.M.

Man! these shots are brilliant. I really like abstract rust shots. Lucky to live there. I live in Sydney(boring).

Yo Roger, thanks for the feedback on my dog. I will upload an alternative shot soon please re-critique. love your folio.

Andrew Grant , January 28, 2004; 09:42 P.M.

Roger, your photographs - particularly your portraits and landscapes - capture the romanticism and character of what is rural Australia in a similar way to a Dorothea McKellar or Banjo Patterson poem. These are the people and landscapes I grew up with and it reminds me of the pride and connection we have with our land. Cheers, mate... and keep up the good work!

Jørgen Ilsøe , February 03, 2004; 10:51 A.M.

Your creative portfolio's a colorful, insightful look at the ordinary in a not-so-ordinary way. Thank you for the stroll through your poignant view on how light dances on our plant. Gorgeous.

Todd Kowalski , November 10, 2005; 08:22 P.M.

"Compelled to Create" Oh and how you do, with style and good taste. You have got a incredible portfolio, of which I will spend much more time exploring your work. I was looking at Sarah Underhill's work and hence stumbled upon yours. Glad I did! High regards to you. Todd

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , November 14, 2005; 08:18 A.M.

Brook and Todd

Funny, I almost never look at my whole portfolio, it takes too long, as I am still on dialup...to find your wonderful words makes me blush, thank you for taking the time to look and enjoy. Glad to have other people enjoy my humble offerings.

Alexandre Guerra , November 17, 2005; 09:19 A.M.

Leann Greene , November 21, 2005; 05:21 P.M.

Holy Moly I think the only catagories not represented in your 'folio are insects and nudes(not necessisarily in that order). Fantastic artistic vision you have-everything you take on comes out so well. :-)

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , November 26, 2005; 04:44 P.M.

Blush....look down...shuffle feet...

Heck, all I ever do is have fun, sure is nice to have some really nice people come by and have fun with me, thank you Leann and Alexandre...Nudes hummm...oh Linda...! sol

Paul Thibodeau , December 02, 2005; 04:29 P.M.

Blown away!

This portfolio is incredible! You have inspired me and shown me what my e-volt (along with a bit of photoshopping) is capable of! Thank you.

Cary Maures , December 08, 2005; 06:45 P.M.

Excellent...

the autumn folder is beautiful. the portfolio has a variety I like.

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , December 11, 2005; 12:27 P.M.

Paul...

The Evolt, along with it's very fine lenses are far better than I will every need...only now finding how far this camera can go...still a ways to go, but so far so good...makes it hard to go back to my other film cameras...but way to soon to give them up ! Photoshop, now that is another story...still, I do miss the smell of stop bath and fixer from time to time, the digital darkroom is warmer, dryer and easyer on the hands...Smile.

I will stop by and have a peek at what you are doing...

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , December 11, 2005; 12:35 P.M.

Cary...

Not sure that variety is a strength or weakness...I see other advance with a specality...but I always need a chalange, something new to try...and of course there are lots of bad photos that never make the cut...thank you for your kind words of encouragement.

Baerbel Kavanaugh , December 17, 2005; 11:31 A.M.

Wow!

Love your work - especially the Rust and Winter in New England photos. Very creative and interesting compositions. Absolutely awesome! BK

Will....

This art form will always be new to me...I have been taking shots of this old planet for over 50 years, and this year I have to start over with my new digital camera...so it begins again, learning this craft.Last year and the two before, it was Photo Shop !...I hope you set out a lifetime to learn this art, as it will take all of it in it's stride...and you will love almost every second of it...

Pnina Evental , January 02, 2006; 09:22 A.M.

Sharon Jobe , January 04, 2006; 09:10 P.M.

Roger...

I am incredibly flattered that you liked my portrait of my guy. That of course, led me to your portfolio and I was breathless! Every single shot is gorgeous, innovative, and executed brilliantly! Then your gallery led me to Lindas and once again, blown away! Late congratulations on your wedded bliss...and then to be joined with another photographer! I would imagine that life just doesn't get much better than that! The thing is Roger, I have so much to learn. I know nothing technically. I only go on gut instinct and shoot what I like. I am entering my first juried exhibition next weekend, and I am entering that portrait. I am in awe of your talent and your wife's and pray that someday I will be able to create something as fabulous as your photos! Happy New Year, you two now have a new fan! Later!

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , January 05, 2006; 11:18 A.M.

Sharon...

The path you have selected will bring you great joy...and times of frustration, but over all joy. Linda and I share so much...and we know how lucky we are...every day we thank the stars that brought us together...I only hope that you are as happy as we are in your life, thank you for your kind words...they mean everything to me !

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , June 24, 2006; 07:54 P.M.

My biggest critic says it is "too centered" but hey...the shot is how it was on the day and to have even brought the camera to my eye took a bit of doing...still had my mouth open thats for sure ! Glad you like it !

Hi Roger!

How mistaken I was! I knew you were Linda's faithful sidekick, but I didn't realise you were also an exceptional photographer. It is with great delight that I have stumbled across your portfolio. Roger, you have a magnificent collection of work. I have been showing lots of people Linda's work but from now on I will present Keagle & Keagle.

W. Roger Keagle Jr. , October 18, 2006; 10:53 P.M.

Major blush time !!!

Gosh, shucks and darn...thank you so very much, just when I was feeling a bit dark about my lack of great pictures of late...hard to make photos on the road work as well as you would like...Linda is really good at seeing the small details, and I am good at spoting wild life...we make a great pair...again, thank you for the kind words ! (Blush again)

Malcolm Parr , October 21, 2006; 10:18 A.M.

Congratulations

Hi Roger, many moons ago, I extracted myself from Photo.net, as it just didn't seem to fulfill any needs for me. Personally, I found it frustrating and sometimes very shallow. HOWEVER.... I just needed to log back in for a few minutes to tell you how impressed I am with your collection of pictures. The evolution of your shots, the colour and feeling in some of the images are wonderful. Startling! If you are working hard on changing your style and approach, well congratulations, it has worked beautifully. If you've just fallen into these changes, it really is awesome, you lucky s^&%*$&^%$#^$#.

I so miss your skill...please keep in touch, Linda and I wish to invite you to visit us in Oz...please ! I would say more, but this space is a bit public, but know this, I think your talent is unrivaled, and you are missed.

If I could only tell you how much I have learned from you...

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting
