In the reply of your message

Chris,
I look over your portfolio on PN. Since there are quite a lot of pictures, it would take me some time to issue a pertinent comment on each of them (time which I don't have these days). However, your work is not bad, and you actually have some great photos. I would name here "Ship...", "Safe...", or "Snow White...". As a quick rule, try to not rely in your photos only on the color saturation. I often recommend to my students to see a scene in BW, even to digitally convert it in BW, and if it still works regarding the composition, light quality, and points of interest, then it may work in color - it's OK even to saturate a little it if they like so.
Sorry if my comments are harsh sometimes; I'm not the "WOW!!!" kind of commenter.

Thanks Phil. Impatiently waiting for your next lesson and for ... some more pictures in your portfolio ;-) cheers - chris

Judging art is the most subjective exercise of all. Stay true to your vision. Use constructive criticism to your advantage and completely disregard the junk, it's all just their opinion(most have more opinions than talent).

Your portfolio is beautiful!

Craig Osborne , January 04, 2005; 07:02 P.M.

Great photographer

Your work is very inspiring. I'm am doing a photograhy course in college and decided to use your beautiful work as a research source. Hope my teacher likes your work as much as I do.

Bruce Ferguson , February 21, 2005; 01:28 A.M.

Nice

I have enjoyed your work. I am very new to photography, so I can't give advice. I am glad to see that you and I use the same equipment (Canon 300D and lense). However, you use yours to create art and I use mine to capture images. You have proven my thesis that it is not the equipment, but the artist that discovers the beauty in life and displays it for all of us to see. Keep up the good work!

F. Monteiro , March 15, 2005; 10:49 P.M.
