Excellent Macro Scott, love the title! A very 'eye-catching' shot, beautiful reflections in the water...and re the water, love it's appearance, I can't really find the exact word I want, but it is most effective. The irridescence colors of the frog really stand out. Your lighting also was very important in the final result of this composition.

Congrats on good timing, in camera skills, and of course your excellent editing, sincerely, Gail

Impressive picture, and great to see how violation of the "rule of thirds" can yield something wonderful.

Hi Scott................

........ Oh Yes!....... Ribbit, ribbit. ribbit. Great shot and great title.

With the Cane Toad epidemic in Australia heading towards WA we are not too "indisposed" to these amphibians, however you have captured (and presented) this one exceedingly well.

Well done.

Regards

Scott,

Very good capture.

Too bad the water was not more rippled or turbid to avoid that third eye from being revealed.

Best Regards,  Mike

Scott

Interesting how we all view things so differently, because the '3rd eye' Mike just mentioned is the very thing that appeals to me about this image.  It sets it apart from the average, IMO.  Of course the colors, tack sharpness and overall look of this unique frog would all make this a standout image anyway.  Excellent catch!

Thanks everyone.  I think Mike was just trying to get a rise out of me, Christal.  It's certainly possible, but it's hard for me to believe someone thinking the reflected eye not only doesn't add to the appeal of this shot, but it makes it less so enough to make a comment about it.  I'm not even sure I would have posted it if it wasn't for the reflection.  If I'm wrong and others think the same as Mike, I'd love to hear it.

Nice closeup.  Kermit seems pretty content.
