Very nice! I would ease off the sharpening a tad bit, and give the bird a bit more room if this is a crop. (if it isn't cropped, then congrats on squeezing the entire bird in the frame so well! :)

Roy, which white line? Do you mean the halo? That may be a result of oversharpening as Greg suggests.

Fantastic capture, crisp wings, perfect focus. Hard to get a shot of Ospreys in their nests as they are usually quite high up.

Yuri, I got close because the lens extends to 500mm! The birds are easily accessible (there are 3 of them), so I can go back and shoot more any time I like. They are located in a small town called Galetta in Ontario (Canada). That was the second weekend in a row shooting pictures of them.
